Our lush garden provides its harvest for students to make salsa or soup, pop corn, or taste the fresh cherry tomatoes during lunch. Surplus produce is occasionally sold at community events or to local grocers.
Students in Kindergarten through grade three have 45 minutes of chess instruction every week.
Student Council is a leadership opportunity for students in grades seven and eight. The council runs community service activities including clothing and food drives and support for local soup kitchens.
This anti-bullying program helps children to become sensitive to the viewpoint and feelings of the victim, and to stand up for themselves and for others against bullies.

Twice a year students challenge themselves to improve their fitness.
Students engage in activities with a resident artists. For example, through the McCarter Theater Classics Residency, students have worked with dramatists to perform a dramatic adaption of a play by Shakespeare.
